Wings

White-backed vultures, shot from a hide early doors this morning.

It was a slow start and we were wondering if anything would come in at all as it seemed after an age we were going to  have another no show.

Keeping us entertained in the hide were two yellow-billed hornbills who kept crashing into the hide glass window presumably after their reflection in the glass.

There was an hour of classroom time  in which Hector gave us an insight into camera settings which seemed scary but hugely useful hopefully. We've had a gorgeous lunch then hit the road again this afternoon going to the hippos again, on the way dropping into a baby rhino, a very pregnant giraffe about to pop and in the dark finished with the cheetah.

Taking the bull by the horns I opted to shoot on Hectors camera setting suggestions working with the histogram but did safety shots at the same time too just in case it didn't all work. I've not time to edit either tonight but hope I'll get to them soon.

Up at 5:00 tomorrow morning .....
