Wound up in Wexford

The Kindertransport Memorial

Commemorating the arrival in Harwich of numerous unaccompanied children fleeing Nazi persecution in Europe.

It was just outside our hotel.

Along with a very handy EV charger.

We left B slightly later than intended, due to a problem detaching the car from the neighbourhood car charger.  We ended up leaving the cable, stuck in the charger; B will kindly send it on once freed!  We then had a slightly anxious drive to the ferry - we made it in time, but were one of the last cars on to the ship.

On arrival in Harwich, there was a problem with the Border Force computers - we waited about 30 minutes to get through.

Fortunately, after a short panic when my Google Maps seemed to be suggesting I'd made a foolish choice of hotel and we had a 50 minute drive to reach it, this turned out to be a false alarm and it was just a short drive.

The EV charger outside the hotel was a major bonus, and meant we could have a more leisurely start the following morning.  The hotel was excellent, and breakfast was lovely, and lavish.
