It’s that time of year, folks

Well, it’s that time in the antipodes, at least.
Coming after such a moderate summer - couldn’t swear to it, but think the temp topped 40C only once; twice tops - the cooler days and nights haven’t been as welcome a relief as they usually are.
Maybe that’s why the autumnal leaves are hanging on to the vine for so long, despite changing colour weeks ago - and why some of the green leaves haven’t started to colour at all.
Still, expect we’ll be reaching for the thick woollies soon enough, when we can see how many of them (if any) remain unscathed by the annual onslaught of voracious moths.
