Day at a Time

Lichen in Lauder

We're off to the borders for a few days. We've driven down the A68 with our daughter , Flora and a whole lot of luggage. The Glasgow family is travelling by bus and train so we have a bit of their stuff too. By 4pm we'll all be in place - 7 adults, three children and one dog in 3 separate but adjoining cottages.

In Lauder we charged the car, had a bowl of soup and a walk along the burn. It was muddy but it isn't raining. Nor is it windy. That counts as a win in my book. The trees along the burn are covered in lovely moss and lichen.

Looking forward to seeing my family soon and settling in to our accommodation.
