Sanctum

Sunday sanctum, sanctuary, or whatever we want to call it. My Easter weekend, which would be a four-day holiday in Tanzania, isn’t really happening in Mozambique. Except for today’s one chance to retreat into the sanctum on my own steam.

I went to the gym, had a walk, did some yoga, went for a swim. Chocolate had to be consumed to mark Easter traditions.

I always find the architecture interesting in Maputo, and this is a middle to upper class villa displaying what I believe to be the typical lusophone African style. I would need to visit Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau and São Tomé e Príncipe and snap some houses in order to verify this. It’s a challenge I’m willing to embark upon.
