Respite

After two full days of heavy rain, wind is helping to clear the skies, although it was still spotting when I shot this. As a consequence the lake level has risen considerably and water lapped over the rocks along the shore. Debris pushed ashore by the wind and waves has accumulated there.

I like the moody feel of this shot. Getting down low seems to  emphasize the threatening sky. I wanted to include the white pebble which relates to the lighter area of cloud, but maybe it needed more room around it. Also important was the oak leaf in the centre. Getting this low and close with the wet ground was a challenge.
