Ephemeral

At last the rain subsided. There were some nice cloud formations at the end of the lake as the sky cleared out.

In the woods an ephemeral pond filled with rain water encircling the remains of this old ash covered in fungi. I thought it made an interesting subject.

Difficult to edit because all the upward facing fungi caught the light which meant I couldn't lighten the image as much as I wanted, until I reduced their brightness. That and the competing chaos in the background.
