On Some Days

Between Here And Gone . . . Mary Chapin Carpenter

Today we shared lunch in the autumn sunshine at Moutere Hills Restaurant and Cellar Door.  The occasion was remembering Elsie who died on Thursday night aged 93.  She was my sister in laws mother, champion bridge player, fellow gin lover, lively conversationalist and loved grannie who adopted technology to keep up with her grandchildren when they were overseas.  After lunch we went back to her oldest daughters home and sat in the garden while people spoke about her.  It was Elsie's idea to have lunch here as she loved the menu and setting.
Elsie my last blip of her.
I liked the occasion being held outside in sunshine and the autumn leaves turning reminding me . . . there is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die . . .
