Exhausted

Just four days ago, these wild tulips were still budding; yesterday they were perfect flowers, today they are finished already. I suppose the unseasonal heat did them no favour. It was a summer day with over 25°C at lunchtime; a record for early April.

I used the sunny day for several hours of gardening in the morning. Later, I finished sorting out the wardrobes and produced another bag full of clothes to donate, plus a huge pile of washing. It was a very productive day, but now I’m feeling as frazzled as these tulips.
