Leaping for Glory

As both Matlock Town and Belper were playing away this afternoon, I had to descend further the slopes of the football pyramid to get a fix of "the beautiful game"!
Thus I arrived at Staveley Miners Welfare near Chesterfield as they played Retford United FC. It was a moderately entertaining game made all the better by the extremely modest £3 admission charge for the more elderly amongst the crowd.
The final score was Staveley Miners Welfare 1 Retford United 2, the shot shows the Retford number 18 scoring the winner with a glancing header.
