View from the box

A full on learning turn at Rolvenden signalbox with several extra moves in addition to the normal 5 return trip service. I was kept occupied from 9.00 to 18.00. A good workout as this was the first time back in the box since the Santa Specials in December.

Here Swiftsure takes on water in the loop line with a train from Bodiam. Quite a perilous position to be sitting on the tank observing water filling the tank from the elephant’s trunk.

Back home and all ready for the Saturday night date night. Booted and suited. Aperitifs ready.
