Saturday and Storm Kathleen

The storm has brought strong winds to us and a tree fell onto the roof at The Waterside, Toby Carvery pub by Carr Mill Dam. Looks like it made a mess of the roof.
A little girl aged 3 had got out of a house in the Lea Green area (Waterside estate which was built 2016-2017 mainly) and police found her in the lake not far from the house. Apparently they performed CPR till paramedics and the air ambulance arrived and the article says the little girl is being treated at Alder Hey. So sad, I hope she is OK. The lake is a flash, which, in case you don't know, is a lake that forms when land collapses (due to previous mining) and then fills with water. There are a number of them around the area where the little girl was and the one near Shirebrook Close is quite big, plus it has some steep slopes down to it and the railing / fence around it at the top is not one that could keep anyone out.
Not been anywhere today, too windy. I brought in the recycling containers and the garden waste bin after collections - before they blew away! Filled the bird feeders up but they way they were blowing like mad I'm not sure that a lot of seeds won't end up on the ground.Have done a little weeding in the garden but not much as I was tired. I was still awake at 3am, having not yet fallen asleep due to restlessness. God knows why!
Started the new book, The Hike by Lucy Clarke and it's very good from page one.
Photo just a quick one of the flowers on our standard azalea.
