Sad Day, but Happy Family Time

A wild day of gales and rain.  Finally cleared at teatime, with a sunny evening.  Gales picked up more tonight.

Up early, a more puttering about the house.  Mam, dad and Jonny picked me up and we headed north.  Back home in the afternoon, finally got out walkies with Sammy.  Working in the shop this evening, and a busy night.  Plenty happening around the village tonight, might head out for a look and a pint or two.

A sad day, we said our goodbyes to great uncle Jackie (Edwardson) today with a celebrationof his life.  He lived a long and healthy life, to the grand age of 90.  A lovely service in the hall read by Tom Morton, with some of uncle Jackie's funny stories, poetry and music.  He'll be a huge miss, especially for our cousins, but he'll never be forgotten.  Good to catchup with friends and family and chatting about the old days, and his family too.  The Mullay's, uncle Jackie's daughter's family and the Christie's, Hillswick Hall, Northmavine.
