Fishing the Cox

We went for a drive this afternoon. This fisherman was trying his luck on the Cox's River. It forms the western boundary of the Megalong Valley and when up is an added barrier to one potential access point if you can make it that far through rugged terrain on private property.
There have been major problems trying to get visitors out of the valley following yesterday's landslip. They attempted to get a couple of hundred vehicles, mostly 2WD, out in convoy under police escort. The last we heard most had succeeded but by 8pm and in the dark there were about 40 left, many bogged, behind a campervan stuck without a towbar. Apparently the bulldozer was bogged too.
We attended the community meeting via Zoom tonight. As this problem has been brewing for 3 years there were a lot of angry residents.

The extra is some unusual letterboxes we saw. Would have been good for Silly Saturday.
