Nest building

I called in at Blackford Pond and was delighted to find the swans there, and moreover, nest building in the reeds. The water level has risen further and the island (which is usually the best nesting spot) was almost completely submerged, so I'm glad they hadn't started nesting there. A tree had come down on the path so you can't do a full circuit of the pond at the moment. Mind you, the path itself was only just passable with a lot of standing water. It was still windy, but at least it was sunny!
