Two Lovely Black Eyes

An immature male red-breasted merganser, Mergus serrator
On the sea just outside the harbour at Charlestown, Fife this afternoon.

Despite the stormy weather having stirred up the waters and made them very cloudy, this sawbill was having great success catching a couple of small fish and a couple of crabs while I watched.
