Pomegranates

In Greek mythology, the pomegranate has everything to do with the emergence of spring blooms and the standstill of nature in the winter months. Demeter, goddess of agriculture, her daughter Persephone and Hades, the god of the underworld, know all about it.... Persephone was forced to return to Hades every six months because she ate six pomegranate seeds.
