Historic village

Tsumago is said to be one of the best-preserved historic towns in Japan (Wikipedia). In the foothills of the Japanese Alps, we walked there today along a part of the Nakasendo foot-trail. It’s a delightful small town. Rana and I stopped for a snack and cup of tea in a village shop, where the owner insisted on taking a photo of us, on my phone, to record our visit (extra). We are so impressed by the hospitality and politeness we constantly experience.
