The Pontcysylite Aqueduct

Our last visit before heading home. This is a fantastic aqueduct which is navigable and carries the Llangollen canal across the River Dee. Situated in north east Wales, built in 1805, consists of 18 stone arches and a cast iron channel which holds the water. It is open 24/7 and narrow boats can easily cross the valley.
We went across by narrow boat, at a height of 126 feet, best not to look down.
