The Travesty

What we have here is a placard for an upcoming performance for Ham & Egg.  The German word for Drag Queen is Travestie.  These 2 have been appearing in shows for years.  More power to them.

The travesty mentioned in the title has much more to do with work.  You know that in every organisation there are people who management dote on.  We have several of these.  As a rule they are harmless and can be safely ignored.

But they are really ein Schmerz im Po (you can find lots of translation websites).  But management love them because they always have a new idea about bringing in MORE administrative tasks because nothing thrills us more than pointless tasks that no-one would understand anyway..

As you know Ausländer is a quiet and complacent soul.  But this morning I had to get out of a meeting before I started to swear - using the full range of words to express my unhappiness.  If I had done what Captain Arschloch did, it would have deemed "unprofessional", but Captain Arschloch is just a genius. <Very bad word> off and leave me to work.

Captain Arschloch is not a Genius.  Never will be.  Even his Denglisch is garbage.

Our little group do not hold him in such high regard.  The most positive thing to be said about him is he's not in every meeting and the meetings where he isn't available are always better.

I don't bitch much but Captain Arschloch deserves it.
