Costa Rica Day 7 - Monteverde

Hola mis amigos.   Wonderful news.   Maggy is now back with T and R after one night at the emergency vets before being transferred to my vets where she had further tests and investigations and stayed another night before being discharged.  The long and the short of it was that her autoimmune disease has most probably recurred (we are still waiting on two results back).  She had the meningitis type one which is pretty scary.  The drugs are taking affect, her temp is down and she is eating and drinking.  R slept on the lounge so he could keep and eye on her bless him.   I am seriously thanking the powers that be that all is well.  It will mean she goes on a long course of steroids and immune suppressants if the other tests come back negative but I have been down that track before and know what to expect.  She will be perfectly OK.

So today we went back to the cloud forrest and did a hanging bridges walk over the canopy.   It was living up to it's name and not only was there cloud but it rained and rained and rained.   So much so I didn't take my camera so today's blips were only taken with the phone held very tightly with two hands and only taken out when the bridge was not wobbly or jumping up and down with people walking on it.

The first extra is of bridge no 4.  Oh and I forgot we saw a Quetzal but with the rain and the phone not a chance of getting a shot of it.  The second extra is just another shot from one of the bridges.  (edit - problems uploading so I will upload later)

There was less rain when we got back to the hotel and it's been a quiet afternoon which is good because tomorrow we have a long drive to Manuel Antonio.
