Exotic!

I didn't manage a walk, it was a day of chores and supporting J with her everyday needs and art, but in the garden I found that huge, heavy flower heads covered with tight buds had emerged from one of the crowns of rhubarb. I don't know why this one always insists on flowering at the start of its fruiting season, it's not supposed to and it's the only one that does this, but the flowers are a very striking shape as they develop (and before I chop them off).
