Happy to perch on a finger

Checked out of The Duke of Marlborough this morning and headed off to catch the car ferry to Opua. As we were crossing S got a phone call to ask if anyone had left behind a key board. Grand daughter realised she had. So turned around, and joined the queue for the return ferry, and back to the hotel. 

Started again. Went to Kerikeri where we visited The Parrot Place. The guide immediately gave S a parrot to support. The birds may not have a lot of room, but they are well looked after.

Then a pizza for lunch and to Paihia where we all had a bracing ride as passenger in a powerful motor tricycle.

Tomorrow we have a bus trip to Cape Reinga.
