Too close for comfort

Drumming this morning, a challenging session! Dashed back home afterwards in time for a supermarket delivery.

Then a text from MrM, assuming that as the weather was "reasonable", I would be out gardening. 'Afraid not! It may have been dry 4 miles away where he was working, but here it was raining.

Jazz in the evening, a Benny Goodman tribute. Not my favourite, but some great musicians, and it was a good evening. As we'd decided to eat at the pub before the gig, we arrived quite early and had seats at the front. There were more musicians than normal, seven in all, including a bigger than usual 'brass section' (clarinet/sax, trumpet, and trombone). They were all crammed into the usual small performance space, and after they'd set up it became apparent that the trombone player was directly in front of me, and a little too close for comfort!
