Teals in flight

At least I think they are Eurasian teals, but not sure. I was expecting to see mallards, but the details are closer to teals.

I walked across the field behind the cowshed to see how the water level is in the pond and in the ditch, when the birds took off from the ditch and started circulating above the pond and the field across the ditch. Not easy to get shot in focus, but managed a couple.

The water level is even higher than two days ago, but I suppose it must turn down now, as there is relatively little snow left. Like yesterday, the temperature was +11°C in the afternoon and about the same is expected until Sunday, but forecast for next week is colder, so the snow that is left won't melt that fast any more.

Took Dad to see a doctor again in the morning. Not knowing how long it would take, I drove off to the Agco dealership as they and other machinery dealers in the area had an open day. Talked to Jussi's boss for a while having coffee before Jussi came in (*), and soon Mum called that they are ready to go home. Well, that didn't last long, so I had to drive back. Chopping wood in the afternoon.

*) Jussi is doing his final internship at the garage there. Glad to hear he is doing very well.
