Urmel & His Itchy Neck

This kind of thing happens in Spring.  The donkeys lose their winter coats and that gets itchy. They are not particularly fond of this time of year - there's a lot of rolling around in sand to get to the itchy bits.

There was another family group in today - they had met the donkeys in the winter and were very keen to see them again.

The mother told me a lovely story.  The family were out for a walk (it is a beautiful Saturday) and all the way round she was being asked "Do you think der Eselmann (the donkey man) will be there?"  And she had said that it was unlikely but they would swing by the field just in case.  And soon as they saw me  - "Der Eselmann ist da!"  So I played host to 6 hyper under 10s and 2 very relieved adults.  Almost as if I was friendly type of chap.
