Pictures At An Exhibition

After a quick workout in the gym this morning, I popped up to Staveley to see Mrs C at her camera club’s photographic exhibition, which was being held in the Roundhouse. On over three days (Friday to Sunday) it’s an opportunity for the members to display - and possibly sell - their prints. The club is also hoping that they can attract new members by showing what a diverse range of photographic styles and abilities they cater for.
An impressive array of photos to look at - they could probably have filled the space twice over - and it was good to see a lot of visitors coming and going. Mrs C was on duty, but I persuaded her to break off for a few seconds and pose next to some of her photos - the three hanging on the left of my photo. She did have several more elsewhere in the room.
It seems that it was all pretty successful as there were about 100 visitors today and even some enquiries about becoming a member. On a more personal level, Mrs C had a few of her photos nominated as “favourite” by people as they left the exhibition (okay, one of them was me!) and had a message after she got home saying they had sold one of her larger prints - a lovely seascape that she took on the Isle of Harris.
A good day all round.
