Lemon Drizzle Cakes

As it was sign on day at the bowls club, and as the sun was shining, we took a picnic lunch and walked up to the bowls club. It was lovely sitting in the sunshine. The club has just put in a planning application to extend the clubhouse. We're a very friendly membership and the club is thriving, so when there's a match on, it's a struggle to seat everyone inside. Fingers crossed we get planning permission - and that we can raise the money needed.
On the way up to the club, we called in to the Community Fridge. There were boxes and boxes of eggs, all with 12 days to go to their "best before" date, so I took one small box (some people are greedy and take far too much, which defeats the object of preventing food waste). When we got home, I made 2 lemon drizzle cakes. One and a half will go in the freezer; the other half will go to the bowls club on Monday when I help with the gardening.
