An ordinary life....

Castle Stalker...

No alarms set for this morning so woke up when our bodies had enough sleep, which happened to be just after 9am.

D brought me tea and toast with marmalade in bed.  What a luxury :-)

The views from this house are so wonderful we decided to have lunch here and enjoyed watching the little boats scooting around as well as the ferry coming in along the coast to Oban pier.

After lunch we set off to find the restaurant we've booked dinner in tomorrow night.  Easy to find as it's right on the harbour.  Then to find the golf club.  That was easy too.  Then a trip to Port Appin.

The journey there was lovely and took us over Loch Etive via Connel Bridge.  Sadly most of the hills were covered in mist and low cloud so we didn't get to see them properly but the grey clouds and rolling mist has it's own attraction.

The Pierhouse Hotel at Port Appin looks lovely and we may well return for lunch or dinner later this week.  Unfortunately the weather this afternoon was too cold, wet and windy to get out and explore, also being Sunday the little gift shop and cafe were closed, so we just enjoyed the views from the car, stopping every so often to take them in.

Back to the holiday house via Tesco to pick up some supplies.  Our friends Keith and Mairi are joining us tomorrow and staying over till Tuesday so looking forward to seeing them.

After dinner I crocheted one round of the border on the cuddle blanket before getting engrossed in the Masters.  Well done Scottie Scheffler :-)
