Main character energy

Cooler today but still sunny and bright.   We all hung out in the house playing with the children until I took them down to Sky Park Farm to meet up with a great friend over from San Francisco.  I joined them after their brunch in the superior playground which Ivy adored.  As you can see. 

I drove them to Guildford to drop them off for the shorter train journey back to London.  I think we were all exhausted. 

Did a bit of gardening when i got home.  Depressed by how very many plants have been nibbled by deer, a lot of emerging rose buds or tips.  The repeat flowering roses will just treat that as a late prune but the single flowering might be gone.  All the tulips in the cutting bed gone and a new geranium due to be planted out eaten to a stump. 

Had finishing up supper and watched an episode of Palm Royale on Apple.  Not quite clever or smart enough I found it rather backward looking. People endlessly cite Mad Men but that was such a subtle and brilliantly characterised piece of work.
