Duckling at Martin Mere

It was so windy today we couldn't bear to open the hide windows and I struggled to get any decent shots through the glass. This little duckling was one of several sheltering near the doorway to the hide. 

 Just before lunchtime the Nature Reserve's wind alarm went off and we were all asked to either shelter in the cafe or leave the reserve. They didn't want people wandering about in winds of over 45 mph.
