Iceland Day 8

Our final day in Reykjavik.

We visited the impressive Hallgrímskirkja church and looked again at the great street art (graffiti), but I chose to blip this photograph of a fairly typical building in old Reykjavik - indeed a common style in many parts of the country we drove through, although this is one of the more impressive and better maintained examples. The corrugated metal is a very common building material here, and the bright colours are also notable, and they stand out particularly in the rural areas.

Back to the airport this afternoon (once the bus arrived - a little late, which had us worried). Home this evening - totally exhausted after a fantastic and highly memorable week.

[Back blipped because I was far too tired when I got home to boot up the computer and go on line.]
