The beholder's eye

An escapee

I went to Southwater woods after work to search for somthing to blip for today, but the weather was foul, and the light even worse. I did think of blipping the large white rabbit (presumably a pet) I saw on the grassy verge at Barnes green, but the shots were really dreadful.
On my way home, disillusioned, I noticed this large patch of Yellow loosestrife (Lysimachia punctata) growing in the grass verge. I assume it is either self sown or planted, but on a dull day the bright yellow colour really brightened up the roadside
It seems to me even if we are really down, there are things that can brighten up our day ( and our spirits ) if we care to look.
