Quod oculus meus videt

Sundowners

Our flight was uneventful (thankfully) and any slight turbulence was unremarkable, compared to our December flight.  We duly arrived at Johannesburg Airport two hours late, then had to suffer another hour plus queuing to get through passport control. Thankfully both suitcases were waiting for us and our drive, Alfred, met us in the arrivals lounge.

A two and a half hours later we pulled up at Ant’s Hill Lodge, in the Waterberg Biosphere. Lunch was waiting and then L decided on a ride while I went on a game drive, meeting up for one of the best parts of the day, Sundowners.

Were very tired, I always struggle to sleep on a plane, but were able to meet the other guests, only to find that seven were leaving the next morning. At least my poor memory wasn’t to be overly tested by remembering everyone’s names!

Our room is stunning, with a vaulted thatch roof overlooking a deep valley. Will share some more images once I’ve sussed transferring images from the various devices to an iPad.
