A giant leap for mankind

Today we visited the "The Moonwalkers" show at Lightroom near Kings Cross in London.  This is a spectacular, immersive audio visual extravaganza, using original video and photographs from the Apollo missions to the moon. In my blip, the audience seems to be on the surface of the moon with the LEM (Lunar Excursion Module), surrounded by a lunar landscape - and even the floor has a lunar surface projected on it.  The production covers the first moon landing and the subsequent successful landings, as well as talking to the astronauts due to take part in the next moon landing in 2025.

Whether - like me - you stayed up in the small hours of 21st July 1969 to watch on TV the live relay of Neil Armstrong taking his first steps on the moon at 3.56 BST, or whether you just know it as a piece of exciting history, I can thoroughly recommend "The Moonwalkers".  Details are here and you can buy discounted entry tickets through Time Out here.
