A visit to Dunedin

Following the minor op on my left hand back in January, only to find after the biopsy results came through that not all the mild skin cancer had been excised, I was referred to a plastic surgeon.  I finally got a call on Tuesday to say there was space for me today, so off we went. My appointment was on time and didn’t take long.  As a result of the consultation it has been decided that it’s best to remove the remaining cancer and so will be called back to Dunedin Hospital in the next couple of months for a minor operation under local anaesthetic.

Afterwards we returned to the carpark that our blipper friend, Mima, kindly recommended and put some more time on the meter, then went to visit the Bin Inn bulk goods store, which was well laid out and probably has a few items that we can’t get at the Real Food Pantry here in Oamaru.  Just past Bin Inn was a lighting shop with a “40% of everything” sale.  We wandered in and had a look around and found two floor lamps that will finish off the lounge and the entrance very nicely. We went for lunch at the Heritage Café nearby to talk it over, then walked back to collect the car so we could make the purchase and put everything in the back.  MrMacD assembled the floor lamp for the lounge while I was at line dancing and it has made a huge difference.  We’re very pleased.
