All around the House ......................

Today has been a very damp overcast day and after work, dressmaking (crazy as I haven't created a garment in 30 years), I decided to take Phoebe out for a walk around the village.

We went down to our pond, but that looks diabolical at the moment, covered in green sludge. Looked at the stream where we play poo sticks with our boys but in the end decided upon this beautiful thatch house on the edge of our High Street. Joke really, but it does lead up to the pub, The White Horse, our post office/ stores and of course the church.

The house was originally The Swan public house, but has been a private residence for a long time. The Virginia Creeper growing on the front, is very established with the lower branches from the ground being over 8inches thick.

I hope you've all had a better day and after more rain tomorrow, they are saying the sunshine returns for the weekend. Hope so with friends coming from Hampshire to support my performance on Friday.
