Memories4Me

By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea…

As dark and dreary as yesterday was, today was glorious.  So, we decided to drive the coast line between Hingham, Scituate and Cohasset.  We stopped to see the Old Scituate Lighthouse, built in 1811 to fend off the English invasion in the War of 1812.   The sign also talked about the famous “army of two” which is rather famous.  (You go girls!).   In the seascape above you can see a wee lighthouse called the Minot Light which has a famous signal, “I love you”, flashes 1, 4 3.  Then on to the Mill Wharf Restaurant for a delicious lunch.  We also stopped at the Marshfield Hills General store and post office (extra) owned by the actor Steve Carnell of the television series The Office.  Charming.  Home tomorrow to unpack a suitcase of lovely memories.
