3 hours old...

A dirty shower this morning then it stayed dry but a chilly north wind. Spent the day on and off spreading slurry on the stubble that is still to plough for spring oats. In-between doing other jobs. After lunch took 2 trailer loads of ewes and lambs from one of the sheds back next door where they belong. They have been shut in for 3 weeks since the weather was so wet when they were born. But it's past time they were out as a lot of the ewes now going lame. Wee brother set about sorting their feet when I had dropped them off,then they will go to a wee field until the lambs mother up again.
I spotted this cow had calved this afternoon. Had a good look from the slurry tractor with my binoculars and it looked like the calf was trying to suck so left them to it. Went out to check tonight and they seem happy enough.
