Varenna

Today we took the ferry over to Varenna. It is possibly the coolest day since we have been here, temperature around 14°, though it was sunny, and sometimes felt quite warm in the sunshine. Still there was a cold breeze and we stayed inside on the ferry all the way to Varenna, and most of the time on the way back.

We had lunch at a restaurant we have been to previously. Unfortunately it seems to have changed, and not for the better. It may be a while before we try it again.

It is only mid April, but seeing the number of people in Varenna it could look like June. The tourist season seems to be starting earlier than in the past.
