First Arrivals

A cold and windy day. Six purple martins now at the colony. However, it was the first goslings of the season that stole the show today. After initially seeing only two, the mother surprised me by standing up to reveal four more.

She then stretched her wings and went done into the water, followed by her brood.

I had real difficulty editing this one, it still seems too dark, but lightening it didn't look good either.
