Quiraing

After a lovely breakfast at our hotel in Uig we had a few hours before our ferry was due to sail from Skye to Harris and had been recommended that a trip to view the Quiraing would be worthwhile and it certainly was.

It is only a few miles from Uig up a tortuous single track road and as can be seen in the blip it is an unusual geological feature in the landscape of the Trotternish escarpment. Many photos were taken !

We enjoyed the drive back down with flocks of Blackface sheep lambing in the fields on either side . As we approached Uig again I took the extra looking down on the Uig Ferry Terminal.

The crossing to Tarbert was lovely and calm but by the time we arrived it was late afternoon so photos of Harris will need to wait till tomorrow.
