I opened my eyes this morning and looked up, and this is what I saw. The wooden elements are from a reject kitchen worktop. The rope like cables give it all a distressed look. And each of the lightbulbs is a different shape. It’s not your usual lampshade. You wouldn’t know that before he retired my BiL, who made this and two others for daughter R in her part of the house, worked with theatre sound and lighting.

Extra - it’s been a wet day, but I still enjoyed our walk around the gardens at Stourhead. Some fantastic specimen trees (the UK’s largest Tulip Tree a standout for me, it’s massive).
