Strange Friendship

I spotted this small American Alligator and a large Soft-shell turtle enjoying the sunshine together in the middle of a pond at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens this morning. The 'gator was floating on the surface of the water and the turtle was on top of a rock, inches separated them. They were quite a distance away so I just took a couple of shots, expecting them to quickly part ways. Ten minutes later they were still there. It almost seemed as though they were in deep discussion. 
And just FYI...April 26 is International Turtle and Tortoise Week!
