Earth Day 2024

A Happy Earth Day! The theme for World Earth Day 2024 is 
'Planet vs Plastics'. Its goal it to focus on the very serious environmental problem of plastic pollution and how it adversely affects all of us. 
And a Happy Passover to all who celebrate!
The Northern Cardinal couple in today's photo is probably nesting in our 
'very wild BackBack'. This time of the year we humans stay clear of the back one third of our property because it's not at all 'hospitable' to two-leggeds. Lots of poison ivy, vicious vines and mosquitoes. The birds however, LOVE IT... as do many other creatures. These two took a leisurely bath in the bog, happily snacked at the BarkButter feeders and then, with beaks full flew off, most likely, to their nest in the BackBack.
