I spent the day at the Royal Photographic Society headquarters in Bristol, attending a Travel Group Event.  It consisted of a series of talks or discussions about sustainable travel photography.  The damage caused by excessive tourism to some destinations, to the detriment of the local population, was a key topic, but also the destinations which can benefit from the income generated by tourism.

My take at the end of the day was that, for sustainable travel photography, we should visit the less popular destinations out of preference, or at least, visit during the less popular times.

It was an entertaining and very sociable day, spending lunch and dinner with like minded travel photographers.

My blip is of a building between the RPS HQ and our hotel.
