Practice Piece

Thinks I have learned from this project:
It is harder than it looks...
It's difficult to keep the pieces in place whilst stitching...
Disappearing glue is a good solution, but disappears too quickly...
I don't have the patience to follow the steps in the book...
Fabric markers either don't disappear at all, or disappear too soon...
It's hard to do the sashiko without puckering the boro...
My weird arthritic (?) thumb doesn't like the process as much as I do....
I still find it interesting...

Other 'accomplishments'
The vet finally called (at 7 o'clock last night). As long as Spike stays asymptomatic, there's no need to do anything unless we want him to have a $176 blood test to rule anaplasmosis out. He thought chances were good that he may have had  it at one time and still has antibodies. I elected to wait and see....Of course today we're both thinking he seems a bit 'lethargic' (a symptom) but it's more likely he's just bored...

Called and made an appointment with a new dentist. I haven't laid eyes on the old one for over two years and It seems time to have a few small things checked out and attended to. The new receptionist told me that she thought there were 'health issues', which makes me more sympathetic, but I still need to see a dentist.

Did a low impact workout on the Peloton, ignoring most of the cadence and resistance changes, and a few exercises before 9am! I think I'll go back to my old Pilates class in the studio soon.

Things yet to be accomplished
Make an appointment with the hand specialist to see what can be done about my wonky thumb (short of surgery)

Contemplate when to go back to see the dermatologist (or as the knee surgeon calls them 'the whittlers') I intend to question her at length before she surgically removes another thing. I'm STILL healing from the one she removed in September....

I've had it with doctors for the moment...

It wasn't as bad a day as I've made it sound here, but the weather is gloomy and cold which tends to make me likewise.
