Blooming horse chestnut

I spotted this first “candle” making an appearance on the horse chestnut tree. Nature certainly seems to have her foot on the accelerator as it is just over a week when I saw the first leaves were beginning to unfurl. It was sunny again for our morning walk but the breeze was very chilly indeed and it didn’t seem to warm up at all during the day.
In the afternoon, Nick and I called round to visit P and A, the lovely Lucy and Hallie the sheltie pup. What a ball of furry fun that pup is and she and Lucy are great pals. I must remember to take some photos next time I see her. She would have made a much more interesting blip than the blossom on a horse chestnut!
