Ella is 18

(Back blip for 25th April)
Doug and I were on the road at 8.15am….a reasonably easy trip south to Dunedin, arriving with 15 minutes before the scheduled brunch with Ella, the birthday girl, and her Mum, Dad and Harry. Vogel Street Kitchen was a great choice and obviously a popular place.  Cards and present opening took some time, with fabulous and thoughtful gift's.  Brunch done, we did some family snaps in an old building over the road then took Ella back to her hall of residence. She gave Doug and I a tour around her hall (Knox Collage), a wonderful place she calls home (extra 1). We left her there to continue with her swotting/revision for her exam on Saturday morning.
The rest of us then went to the railway station (not just any old railway station) and out to St Clair Beach (extra 2).
Back to our motels for a while, two Ubers collected us all and delivered (that sounds like we are a parcel) to a bar in the Octagon for cocktails, from there we walked Etrusco at the Savoy, an Italian restaurant. Fabulous foods, wonderful service,  delicious Margarita’s, ending with Tequila shots (even me) We really had a fun and memorable night. (Extra 3) Ubers back to the motels and Ella to her Hall of Residence where she and her mates were going to a gig in town.
A truly fabulous day for us all, we are so lucky and grateful.
