From My Everyday Life

Empty Classroom

I stopped by my office today for a couple hours, to catch up on a bit of administrative work and use some books there rather than lug them home. I walked by a bunch of empty classrooms, chairs stacked, carpets waiting to be cleaned, computer monitor lights blinking in sleep mode. The students have been gone for a month and a half, on summer holiday; I've been away from the classroom since December, on sabbatical, doing research and writing.
